This crisis has spiraled out of control. It's a total catastrophe. We've tried anything to fix it, but nothing seems to work. At this point, it feels like we're toast. Frankly, I don't know what else to do. This is a nightmare of epic proportions.

Awful Day Ever
It all started with a terrible case of terrible hair. I couldn't do it to look presentable. As I was getting ready out the door, I stumbled and landed all over myself. To make matters worse, I was completely behind schedule for work.

It all started out badly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then everything went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to run away and hide.
